Lorelei is a seasoned global health leader with over two decades of experience advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in humanitarian and development contexts. She has led cross-functional teams and multi-country initiatives across sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia, with a focus on abortion care, family planning, and health systems resilience. Lorelei has shaped global guidance on reproductive health, including the Global Health Cluster SRH Task Team’s Comprehensive Abortion Care in Emergencies. She co-chairs the IAWG Emergency Preparedness and Resilience sub-working group, where she fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange among global stakeholders. Her technical leadership spans program design, policy advocacy, and capacity strengthening, with a deep commitment to equity and client-centered care.
During her career, Lorelei has held pivotal roles at Pathfinder International, PATH, EngenderHealth, and the International Rescue Committee, where she supported colleagues launching SRHR programs in fragile settings. She has secured funding from bilateral, multilateral, and private donors, and contributed to peer-reviewed literature on abortion, refugee health, and water and sanitation. A skilled communicator and mentor, Lorelei has trained frontline providers, advised governments, and lectured at leading universities. Her work reflects a rare blend of strategic vision, technical rigor, and heartfelt dedication to reproductive justice in crisis-affected communities.
